Doctor Scully, Albert — I hope you don’t mind, but Jack’s girls were pestering me to get them a tree for the quad, so I took the liberty to do so. If you would rather I move it to Albert’s [deleted] my own room for them, then that’s no problem, but I thought it would look rather nice lit up in the common area. Most of the bottom is decorated, convoluted maybe, but decorated none the less. So if you want to add anything to the top of it considering it’s rather scarce up there then, be my guest.

Of course, this reminds me that I should probably look into doing Christmas shopping. Maybe I’ll get to that this weekend.

Thanks for all the help girls, um — and Jack. I really appreciate it all, especially Miss Morrigan and Jack’s help. And the tea helped, thanks Miss Maron! Ah but, mm, Jack you didn’t have to go with me to the store and it was really nice of you to do that. Even though I had to yell at you for it… Oh and the ice cream was good too, so thanks for that too!

I’m making use of the blankets that Miss Morrigan got for me, drinking the tea Miss Maron brought over and I took some advil and not moving much like both Miss Morrigan and Mama told me to. Going to class was freaking hard and right now I really hate health class because of this — but its okay, I mean, it’s not the class’ fault or anything. But that’s what we’re talking about right now. So it makes me angry.

Kali, also known as Kalika, was once considered to be the Hindu goddess associated with eternal energy. Her name, Kali, roughly translated means “black”, but by folk etymology has come to mean “force of time” — though that would be ‘Kala’. Despite her negative connotations, Kali is now considered the Goddess of time and change rather than the dark and violent woman that she is at times depicted to be. Her earliest incarnation was that of a figure of annihilation which still has some influence in the Hindu civilization.

More complex Tantric beliefs seem to extend her role so far as to be the “ultimate reality” or ‘Brahman’, also revered to as Bhavatarini: which literally translates to “redeemer of the universe”. However, recent findings have begun with Tantrics to largely conceive Kali as a benevolent mother goddess rather than the dark depictions that were firstly formed with her godly abilities.

Kalika is the foremost among the Dasa-Mahavidyas, ten fierce Tantric goddesses and is often represented as the consort of god Shiva, known as the “Feared One” or “the Destroyer” whom is a major Hindu god and one aspect of Trimurti, on whose body she is often seen standing.

Well that's one more number I need to block off my cell phone. At this rate it looks like I might need to change my phone number again. It's a good thing that I have an excuse not to go out with him tonight.

And Mr. Douglas seems to have some extra work for me. He really seems adamant on getting me to drop by his office this late at night. It wouldn't be the first time someone wanted me to visit after hours. I better make sure that those papers he wanted me to grade were finished. I feel like a secretary rather than a teaching assistant. Those kids really know how to bullshit a paper, that's for certain. Anthropology isn't just about dates. Though I wonder if I should brush up on a few of them myself.

I can't help but feel bored with this. Maybe this whole teaching gig isn't the type of break I needed. Maybe I'm a little envious of Nate running off on some grand adventure. Sounds just like old times and I can't help but wonder what sort of mess he's getting himself into. [deleted]

There is so many things to get done I'm not even sure how I am going to do it! Viskol needs to continue his training (he's doing very well at that), and I need to keep studying. I will just have to stay up this weekend and read my books! I have that study guide my professor gave me. And I have to return to the hospital for a check up on my arm... I don't have time for all of this! What if I can't do it all? What if I fail?! It's going to happen. Perhaps I took too many medical classes again. So much for good luck... I never have good luck.

At least I enjoyed myself the other day. We should do that more often, Aleister!

I suppose I was bound to recieve troubling word eventually. At the most inconvientent time as well I cannot return home as I must continue my studies until the end. I will write back in hopes that things will turn for the better. Beatrix, I am certain, will be able to handle it. I will have to have high hopes to hear nothing but good news in the future.

Lily have you decided on any classes just yet? I believe that we are able to sign up for classes very soon here and I would hate for you to be forced into classes that may not be of interest because others are full.

Perhaps this weekend I will traverse to the library to study, or perhaps somewhere a little more open. I am uncertain. Hmn, I've not quite found anywhere to study at.

Ah! That reminds me, Mr. Rimmer would you be interested in obtaining coffee or tea with me in the future? I was thinking it would be quite splendid.

That was a satisfying experience. I would conclude it to be a better social environment than the beach... it's not as if I would have any luck there at this time of year, anyway.
